This bundle prepares students for careers as Motorsport Welders, specializing in cutting, bending, and welding thin sheet metal to fabricate components for motorsports applications. Graduates will learn to work with ductwork, enclosures, panels, frames, suspension parts, and performance components for cars, custom builds, and restorations. They will develop precision, layout skills, and expertise with light-gauge materials to deliver high-quality welds suitable for the automotive racing industry.
Program Duration: 48 classes, 384 hours of welding training
- W304-CS/AL/SS – GMAW Basic AWS D9.1 Sheet Metal Welding
- W301-CS/AL/SS – GTAW Basic AWS D9.1 Sheet Metal Welding
- W305–CM/AL – GTAW/GMAW Advanced AWS D8.8 Automotive Welding (Chrome Moly/Aluminum)
The objective of this career builder bundle is to give students the skills necessary for employment as welders in the motorsports and automotive performance industry, ensuring they can produce precision welds on thin sheet metal, chrome-moly, and aluminum components.
