Certification Testing

Prove your skills and earn welding certifications that meet industry standards.

Overview

Our Certification Testing program is designed for experienced welders ready to earn credentials required by employers across structural, pipe, sheet metal, and aerospace welding. All tests are code-compliant and thoroughly documented—no shortcuts, no handouts. You’ll have up to 5 hours of welding time per test, plus additional time for prep and finish work. A wide range of AWS and ASME code tests are available, including options for union qualification and registry placement. Bring your tools, your experience, and your focus—we’ll provide a professional, well-equipped lab and a serious standard of evaluation.

This certification testing program is intended for skilled welders seeking qualification for jobs that require certified welding. It is not designed for beginner or intermediate welders. For those just starting out, completing welder certification training courses is recommended.

Rules:

  • You are allowed 5 hours of welding time per test, not per position.
  • 2 additional hours are provided for cutting and grinding completed test coupons.
  • Time includes preparation, fit-up, and warm-up. For example, you have 5 hours to complete the AWS D1.1 3G and 4G tests.
  • Tests not completed within the allotted time may be continued on a future scheduled date, with an additional daily fee.
  • Testing is by appointment only—no walk-ins.
  • No refunds for cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice or for no-shows.

What to Bring:

  • Bring your own PPE, hand tools, and other required gear not included in the testing fee.
  • Download PDF for required PPE and tools not included in the fee.

Our Standards:

  • We provide a comfortable and professional atmosphere for welder testing.
  • We operate a legitimate testing lab—our certifications are genuinely earned.
  • Only test welds that conform to code will be accepted and certified.
  • We do not hand out certifications unless they are legitimately earned.
  • We offer no guarantees that any candidate will pass.
  • Our guarantee to the industry is that every welder we test is thoroughly evaluated according to applicable welding codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Accurate records are kept indefinitely, including photos of the welder and test coupons before, during, and after testing.
